Responsible use

How we expect nodes, models and data to be used by people who learn with us.

This is a plain-English placeholder document written for a pre-launch site. It is not legal advice, and it will be replaced by a reviewed version before any commercial service begins. Questions in the meantime: contact us.

Run models you are allowed to run

Check the licence of every model and dataset you deploy on a node. Local hosting does not change licensing obligations.

Handle other people's data carefully

Local inference can reduce data movement, but it does not remove your duties. Decide what a node stores, for how long, who can reach it, and what happens to the disk at end of life.

Do not use a teaching node to process sensitive personal data unless the site, network and access controls have been reviewed properly.

Be honest about energy claims

If you publish figures from a node, publish the measurement method and period with them. Do not present short favourable windows as annual performance.

Respect neighbours and shared infrastructure

Consider noise, heat and circuit loading in shared buildings. Coordinate with your landlord, site manager or network operator where relevant.

No harmful applications

Do not use our material or pilot support to build surveillance of individuals without consent, targeted harassment tooling, or systems intended to deceive people about their nature.
